Tethering Palletways In Germany

One of the big advantages of a hot air balloon that attracts companies to use them is the fact they pack away into a trailer and therefore, can be easily transported from site to site as required, whether in the UK, Europe or anywhere else in the world.

So when Lindstrand Balloons rang and asked if I would like to go ballooning in Germany with Palletways, it wasn’t a question that needed much thinking. Both Palletways balloons would be attending Palletways new depot in Homberg in Germany for an open day they were holding.

Arriving on site, it became clear that the wind conditions were slightly stronger than you would have liked so, to ensure everything was safe, only Slick the Dragon would be inflated outside, allowing us to double up the number of people on the balloon.

However, wanting to put on as much of a spectacle as possible, and seeing the size of a brand new, empty depot, a plan was hatched to cold inflated the round “105” balloon inside. This was so as the guests arrive they see Slick the Dragon welcoming them to the event, before heading inside and finding another balloon which they can touch, look at and even walk inside!

The balloons put on a real show both inside and out, and it’s thinking outside the box, and little touches like this that make working with Lindstrand Balloons such an enjoyable experience.
